Events at The White Horse Inn The nights are lighter – the trees are greener – it must be almost Summer! We have lots of events planned to entertain you at The White Horse this year. April 22nd – we have a Race Night booked in aid of Dreams Come True – the charity for terminally ill children. Even if you can’t come along on the night – you can come in and ‘buy’ a horse, a jockey or a trainer for £2. There will be lots of prizes to be won on the night as well as lots of laughs of course. April 23rd is of course, ST GEORGE’S DAY- the pub will be decorated inside and out with flags & bunting. We shall be serving traditional English food and of course we already have the finest English cask ales… May 8th is the anniversary of VE Day. This is an anniversary that we have always celebrated with music of the 40’s and fancy dress as well as some war time food treats….anyone like SPAM?? Our staff will be in wartime costume (they don’t know that yet but will when they read this) and Spitfire Ale will be in plentiful supply. May 10th – is Karaoke Night –auditions not required. June 20th will be Country & Western Night with a band, line dancing & Hog Roast. Hopefully we can hold this in our large garden, weather permitting! Put on your check shirts, jeans and cowboy hats and you’re ready to country! Spurs and cowboy boots permitted, horses by arrangement. There will be a grand raffle and bucket collection to raise money for the Boughton Park Project – tobeautify and provide play equipment at Boughton Park – or the rec as it’s locally known. July 18th – BOUGHTON GOT’S TALENT ! Oh yes – there is talent in Boughton. Entry forms from the White Horse. Simon Cowell has been invited and we await his reply. You’ll have to work hard to impress the panel of judges so start practicing now. If you haven’t tried our takeaway Fish & Chips or our Sunday Carvery – you don’t know what you are missing. Have a lovely Easter everyone and once again, thanks for your custom!
Come and see what you’re missing at The White Horse Inn! |
